Upgrading Garden Rooms with New Doors and Windows

Situated within a large property with a serene woodland garden, this garden room was designed to serve multiple purposes—be it a man-cave, home office, children’s playroom, or any other use the homeowner desires. Fully sealed and insulated, it is perfect for year-round enjoyment.

Garden Rooms Upgraded

Front Entrance:

We installed our Alitherm residential door at the front of the garden room, finished in a sleek dark grey RAL 7016 matt. The door features a trickle vent for optimal ventilation and sits on a matching colour-matched cill, ensuring a seamless aesthetic with the timber structure.

Windows:

Adjacent to the door, we fitted a small top-hung Rehau PVCu window with a chamfered vent and outer frame, which also had a matching grey foiled finish. Additional Rehau windows were installed on the sides of the garden room, providing ample natural light and maintaining a uniform appearance.

Garden room doors and window security

We prioritise security in all our installations. The doors and windows are equipped with multipoint locking systems, engaging at several points to ensure robust security. The Alitherm door includes toughened safety glass, a sturdy lever/lever handle, and a star-rated key cylinder. The windows feature espagnolette locks, securing them across multiple points and key-operated window handles for added peace of mind.

Energy Efficiency

To keep the garden room comfortable throughout the year, we used toughened safety glass with a soft-coat low-emissivity coating, warm edge spacer bars, and an argon gas fill. This advanced glazing specification plays a crucial role in insulation, keeping the space warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
